Office Based Lab (Access Center)
At Advanced Vascular Surgery, we can perform many dialysis access services safely in our Access Center, allowing you to avoid the hassle and delay of going to the hospital. We can perform tunneled catheter insertions, removals, fistulograms, thrombectomies, and venograms. These procedures can be done on the same day as dialysis, on a non-dialysis day, or whenever is convenient for you. Most of these procedures can be performed in less than two hours from the time you enter, until the time you leave. We provide light to moderate sedation for pain control and to ease anxiety. During your treatment and throughout your stay, you will be monitored by our team of Registered Nurses and medical assistants.
What is a fistulogram?
If your dialysis access is not working as expected, a fistulogram may be performed. This is an x-ray of your dialysis access using a special contrast.
What is an aortogram?
An aortogram is a procedure which uses contrast to visualize your blood vessels to find narrowing or blockages.
